Never trust a possible criminal to tell you where to look for a criminal record. You should always use a trace report.

This is a report by credit agencies that can provide a review of an applicant’s former addresses and verification of his or her social security number. The application or résumé tells you where a person worked; this tells you where they lived.

ID Search Reports disclose names associated with the Social Security Number, and also identify dates and locations of previous residence.  Background Check Professionals recommends that clients use the report to validate information provided on an employment application. The ID Report may also identify jurisdictions where clients may want to run criminal searches.
